Shaykh Daanyaal is a Hafiz of the Qur’an and a graduate of the rigorous seven-year Aalimiyyah program at Michigan Islamic Institute (MII), where he studied Qur’an, Hadith, Fiqh, Usul al-Fiqh, Arabic, Seerah, Aqeedah, and the traditional Islamic sciences under esteemed scholars.

Originally from New York and raised in Houston, Shaykh Daanyaal moved to Michigan at the age of 12 to pursue his Islamic education. He completed his memorization of the Qur’an by the age of 14 and went on to complete the full Aalimiyyah program at MII, developing a strong foundation in classical Islamic scholarship.

At ICJC, Shaykh Daanyaal will serve as our Hifdh Teacher and lead the ICJC Hifdh Program. His arrival marks an exciting new chapter for our community as we launch what will be the first full-time Hifdh program in the Greater Kansas City area.
