Iqra Institute FAQs
What if I can’t commit to 4 days a week?
No worries, we welcome all students with any needs. The result of coming less is that the student will be marked as an audit level student. This means that progress goals and yearly graduation is not guaranteed.
What’s an “Audit” student?
An Audit student is a student of the Quran school that is absolving of us of the guaranteed (In Sha’ Allah) results that we are striving to ensure.
Does this mean we won’t work as hard to help your child
NO! We treat all children the same and grant the same education to everyone. This means that the student is not following our expertly designed curriculum and that results/graduation are not guaranteed every year. At Iqra Institute our goal is to streamline and to lay the foundation for future Islamic Studies goals, this means that we have to build a school with grade levels that grow into each other with clear progression goals and expectations.
Will “Audit” students still graduate if they complete class material?
Yes! Absolutely! Audit doesn’t mean a student doesn’t graduate. Rather, an audit student means that graduation is not guaranteed every year.
Is tuition for Audit students and full time students the same?
Yes. Tuition is based on access to teachers not based on how much a student chooses to take advantage of it.
What is frequency of tuition payments?
All fess will be setup as autopay or one time payment.
Can I stop tuition payment for summer or when I go on vacation?
No, Registration is for an entire course term and unenrollment or leave may trigger a payment invoice for the remainder of the year.
If I sign up for Level 1 A, can I bring my child to level 1 B if that’s more convenient one day?
No. The student will not be allowed to join anytime or any class except what they are registered for.
What is the minimum or maximum age for students?
There is no minimum or maximum age. We accept students based on their ability to be present in class. If a student is too young they may not be able to sit in class for that long and if a student is too old they may feel the class is a little slow. We will do our best to accommodate all students with support from parents.
What if I need to travel or miss a class what do I do?
A parent will need to file an absence form this way the student will be marked absent excused. This is important! Because more than 4 Unexcused absences will result in a student being marked as an audit student.
What is the late arrival policy?
If a student arrives more than 15 minutes late they will be marked as absent even if they still show up.
