Our Purpose
- MISSION STATEMENT
Buidling faith one ayah at a time.
- VISION
Build a generation of Muslims who are not just Muslim by name but are confident, contributing members of society who understand exactly what Allah expects of them and have the ability to articulate it and lead others.
- GOAL
Accomplish our vision by creating a space of growth, accountability, engaging lessons, inspiring teachers, and a welcoming community – making learnnig the Qur’an an experience that nourishes the heart and strengthens the soul.
Our Process
Three Steps of Building a Foundation
Every student’s journey with with Qur’an is unique. The Iqra Institute is built on three pillars that work together – structure, knowledge, and family.
01
Structured Development
A four-level program that takes students from recognizing letters all the way to a part-time Ḥifẓ track and advanced Islamic studies. Every level is designed as a one-year term, with graduation at the end of each year.
02
Islamic Studies
Students at Level 3 begin foundations of the Islamic sciences with Imam Herbert — an interactive study of the life of the Prophet ﷺ,daily fiqh, and ḥadıt̄h. At Level 4, students advance into Uṣūl al-Ḥadıt̄h, Uṣūl al Fiqh, and Faith, Reason & the Modern World – preparing them for lifelong engagement with Islamic scholarship
03
Parental Collaboration
Parents are heavily involved in every child’s growth. The first collaboration meeting comes around four months in to make sure we’re on track; the second arrives three months before graduation to set the student up for success.
❁
خَيْرُكُمْ مَنْ تَعَلَّمَ الْقُرْآنَ وَعَلَّمَهُ
”The best of you are those who learn the Qur’an and teach it.”
– The Prophet ﷺ · Ṣaḥīḥ Al-Bukhārī 5027
How it works
Class Structure
The Iqra Institute meets Monday through Thursday, with an optional Friday session for tutoring and catch-up. We maintain a limited classroom structure with a small student-to-teacher ratio — ensuring every student receives the individual attention they need to succeed. Students are placed into one of four levels through a short reading and memorization assessment, and progress is tracked individually through the FACTS student management system.
Each level pairs reading practice with age-appropriate Islamic studies. Student progression goals are calibrated for an average 7–12 year old; audit-track students follow the same content without progression guarantees.
Two parent–teacher collaborations are scheduled each year — at the 4-month and 8-month marks — and parents can see attendance, grades, and report cards in the FACTS portal at any time
