Wrestling Training Club Registration

Location: ICJC Learning Center 2

Date: May 3rd to July 26th

Fridays Maghrib to Isha

Ages 12 to 18

This Brazilian Ji Jitsu Program (“BJJ”) in the ICJC Masjid aims to train the community in self-defense. In martial arts, Brazilian jiu-jitsu is the most effective in that regard. It teaches participants how to escape difficult positions and protect oneself. While self-defense has benefits, there is a much more significant benefit: confidence. BJJ is a great way to gain physical competence and feel more confident.

Children at this age will initially benefit the most from learning. This is due to the fact these initial ages are the times in their life that will have a significant impact on the rest of their lives. If kids can start when they are young, they can begin their conscious lives with the tools to be successful. Especially as Muslims who often must deal with bullying and other societal discrimination, it is essential to have confidence and the ability to protect oneself.
