SCHOLARSHIPS

ICJC is pleased to offer need-based scholarships for students who are enrolled in Iqra Institute. These scholarships are funded by our generous donors and are dispersed to students whenever funds are available.

To apply for a scholarship, please complete the following steps:

  1. Create an account with FACTS if you do not already have one.
    • If you/your child have attended another institution which uses FACTS, you may use the same login credentials.
    • If you have already applied for financial aid for another institution, you may use the same application for ICJC.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete each section of the application.
    • On the left side of the application, you will see the progress of the application. After each section is complete you will see a green check icon.
    • To the right of the form, you will see help text as you progress from field to field.
    • Errors or problems with the application will be noted with a red error icon, and you will be required to correct any errors before moving to another section.
  3. Submit the required documentation. Depending on your application some or all of the following documents may be required.
    • Copy of your most recent IRS Federal Form 10401040A or 1040-EZ U.S. Individual Income Tax Return. If applicant and co-applicant file separately, we require both tax returns for the same tax year.
    • Copies of all your most recent W-2 Wage and Tax Statements for both the applicant and co-applicant.
      • Please Note: If you are applying before you have received all the 2016 W-2 Wage and Tax Statements, please submit them as soon as they become available.
    • Copies of all supporting tax schedules if you have income/loss from any of the following*:
    • Copies of all supporting documentation for household Non-Taxable Income such as: Social Security Income, Welfare, Child Support, Food Stamps, Workers’ Compensation, and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
  4. Pay the application fee.
    • There is a one-time non-refundable application fee of $45.00 per family. The same application can be applied to multiple institutions provided they use the FACTS Grant & Aid Assessment services.

* IMPORTANT: If you file a tax return but do not have W-2 wages because you are self-employed, you will be required to submit a copy of your 2016 Federal Form 1040 Tax Return.

If you have any questions regarding this process, please email iqra@icjc.org

*This means that the applicant will not receive the scholarship funds directly. Rather, ICJC will receive and use those funds to cover the cost of the applicant’s tuition as well as meal plans and living arrangements as necessary. This is to ensure that the scholarship is both received and dispersed as intended.

Note: tuition and fees are subject to change without notice.
